Adding Allied\u2019s ~$12B debt could reportedly&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/news.bloomberglaw.com\/business-and-practice\/softbank-is-said-to-weigh-buying-largest-us-security-firm-allied?utm_source=robotnews.therundown.ai&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=softbank-s-18b-bet-on-robot-guards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">push<\/a>&nbsp;the total transaction to near $30B.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Son reportedly sees security as a test bed for robotics tech from SoftBank\u2019s companies, and would eventually replace some staff with robots for security work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allied would sit alongside its agreement last year to buy ABB\u2019s robotics business for $5.4B; recent SoftBank deals also include Gravis Robotics at $200M.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why it matters:&nbsp;<\/strong>With around 770K employees across more than 100 countries, Allied could give SoftBank a vast customer network for future security robots.
